Itinerary 1 – The Shakespeare Adventure

 

Day 1 – Meet your driver/guide at the airport or hotel and travel to the heart of the Cotswolds with its honey coloured limestone villages.

Day 2 – After a hearty breakfast we travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of  Blenheim Palace and then onto Oxford with a visit to the University Museum of Natural history and the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology.

Day 3 – Today we visit a town steeped in culture and history Stratford-Upon-Avon, home to the playwright William Shakespeare. We will visit  Mary Arden’s house and  Anne Hathaway’s cottage, perhaps take in a show at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre or the Swan Theatre.

Day 4 – This morning we depart for Warwick Castle built by William the Conqueror in 1608. Following lunch we head for the charming regency town of Cheltenham where you are free to discover the town at your leisure.

Day 5 – Today we visit the ancient city of  Coventry, travelling through the beautiful town of Royal Leamington Spa and a visit to Kenilworth Castle with its Elizabethan Gardens, once home to the Earl of Leicester.

Day 6 – Return your airport or hotel visiting pre-arranged sites dependant on your point of departure.

Itinerary 2 – The Wales and Shakespeare Adventure

Day 1 – Meet your driver/guide at the airport or hotel and travel to the heart of the Cotswolds with its honey coloured limestone villages.

Day 2 – After a hearty breakfast we travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Blenheim Palace and then onto Oxford with a visit to the Museum of Natural History and the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology.

Day 5 – Onto Wales and to one of its oldest and traditional towns Carmarthen on arrival a visit to Kidwelly Castle and a ride on the Gwili Steam Train.

Day 6 – After a traditional Welsh breakfast travel to the capital Cardiff, a vibrant city with Cardiff Castle being the biggest tourist attraction in Wales. In the afternoon we visit the Millenium stadium with a stroll along the newly regenerated Cardiff bay.

Day 7 – Today we travel to the heart of Pembrokeshire along the beautiful Welsh coastline including the seaside Victorian resort of Tenby, through the Pembrokeshire National Park and onto St. David’s, Britain’s smallest and perhaps most picturesque city.

Day 8 – Onto Llanberis stopping off at the National Botanic Garden of Wales with its impressive Great Glasshouse. On through the Cambrian mountains and the historic spa town of Llandrindod Wells to Snowdonia and the mountain railway to marvel at the views from its summit. Later stroll along the lakeside or visit the Welsh Slate Museum.

Day 9 – After breakfast travel through the Snowdonia countryside. Cross spectacular passes, visit the village of Betws-y-Coed in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. Continue to Bodnant Gardens above Conwy, cross the Menai Straits to the Isle of Anglesea with its 125 miles of coastline designated an area of outstanding beauty.

Day 10 – Return to your hotel or airport visiting pre-arranged sites dependent on your point of departure.

Itinerary 3 – The Welsh Adventure.

Day 1 – Meet your driver/guide and travel through the Welsh capital of Cardiff include a visit to Cardiff castle Wales’ biggest tourist attraction before heading to Carmarthen one of its oldest and traditional towns with a visit to Kidwelly Castle or a trip on the Gwili Steam Train.

Day 2 – Today we travel to the heart of Pembrokeshire along the beautiful Welsh coastline including the seaside Victorian resort of Tenby, through the Pembrokeshire National Park and onto St. David’s, Britain’s smallest and perhaps most picturesque city.
