Sample Ireland Itineraries

Itinerary 1 – West of Ireland Adventure

Day 1 – Meet your driver/guide at Dublin airport or your hotel and onto Clonmacnoise one of Ireland’s most famous  monastic settlements. Afterwards we go to Galway known as the city of the tribes renowned for its pubs with craic and music, overnight in a city centre hotel within walking distance of all the best pubs.

Day 2 – We head to the wilds of Connemara and the beauty of Kylemore Abbey with its sad but romantic history, overnight in Galway city.

Day 3 – We head south through the majesty of the Burren and county Clare, lunch in the quaint village of Lahinch. From there through the village of Adare to overnight in Killarney.

Day 4 – Tour the Ring of Kerry viewing the Atlantic seaboard, the Macgillicuddy Reeks, the Lakes of Killarney  while stopping in the quaint village of Sneem, overnight in Killarney.

Day 5 – Tour the Dingle peninsula including Slea Head visiting its stone forts, its ancient beehive huts with its magnificent views of the Skellig Rocks, Blasket Islands and coumeenole beach, overnight in Killarney.

Day 6 – Return to Dublin via The magnificent Rock of Cashel and Ireland’s National Stud.

Itinerary 2 – All Ireland Adventure

Day 1 – Pick up airport of your choice, guided tour of Dublin including such sites as Trinity college, St. Patrick’s cathedral, Christchurch and the Guinness storehouse.

Day 2 – Leave Dublin going directly south to the monastic Glendalough, the magnificent Powerscourt house and waterfall and then onto Waterford city.

Day 3 – Visit Waterford crystal factory, onto Midleton town and the Jameson distillery, from there to Blarney castle (to acquire the gift of the gab) leaving for Killarney and  two  overnight stays.

Day 4 – Tour the ring of Kerry viewing the Atlantic seabord, the Macgillicuddy Reeks, the Lakes of Killarney while stopping in the quaint village of Sneem overnight in Killarney.

Day 5 – Tour Dingle peninsula  including Slea Head visiting its stone forts, its ancient beehive huts with its magnificent views of the Skellig Rocks, Blasket Islands and Coumeenole beach, overnight in Killarney.

Day 6 – Drive north to Bunratty castle, onto the Cliffs of Moher and the majestic lunar landscape of the  Burren, over night in Galway know as the city of the tribes and famous for its pubs, music and “craic”.

Day 7 – Today we go to Connemara (in Gaelic it means inlets of the sea) and visit the sad but romantic Kylemore Abbey, over night in Galway city.

Day 8 – North through Sligo made famous by the poet William Butler Yeats to the walled city of Derry for a guided tour including a visit to the Bogside, scene of the Bloody Sunday Massacre overnight in Derry city.

Day 9 – Drive the North coast of Ireland through the Glens of Antrim,the village of Carnlough with a visit to the Giants causeway and the Carrick- a- Rede rope bridge overnight in Belfast city.

Day 10 – Return to Dublin with a visit to the awe-inspiring Newgrange an ancient  burial tomb dating from approximately 3,000 bc and the Celtic Monastery of Monasterboise.

Itinerary 3 – South West of Ireland Adventure

Day 1 – Meet your driver /guide at Dublin airport or your hotel for a city tour including Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Christchurch and the Guinness Storehouse.

Day 2 – Depart Dublin visiting the magnificent Rock of Cashel and Blarney Castle to kiss the stone and become endowed with the gift of eloquence (known locally as the gift of the gab), overnight in Killarney.

Day 3 – Tour the Ring of Kerry viewing the Atlantic seaboard, the Macgillicuddy Reeks, the Lakes of Killarney, while stopping in the quaint village of Sneem, overnight in Killarney.

Day 4 – Tour the Dingle peninsula including Slea Head visiting its stone forts, ancient beehive huts with its views of the Skellig Rocks, the Blasket Islands and Coumeenole beach, overnight in Killarney .

Day 5 – Return to Dublin via Bunratty castle and folk village including  a visit to the National Stud.

Itinerary 4 – Undiscovered Ireland Adventure

Alternative Tour. Dursey peninsula, Gougane Barra, Valentia Island, Healy pass, Dingle Conor pass, the Burren ring forts, Connemara, Ceide fields, Kilbeggan distillery.
